More and more new startups have sprung up that provide a variety of services from various industries. Seeing this phenomenon, PT Jababeka Tbk Infrastruktur (Jababeka) seeks to present ‘The Next Silicon Valley’ in Indonesia.


Silicon Valley is known as the center of technological innovation in the United States which gave birth to many giant technology companies such as Apple, Google, Facebook and others.

Located in the southern region of San Francisco, California, United States, Silicon Valley is an area that has successfully hosted thousands of companies and startups and has absorbed millions of workers.


Jababeka seeks to apply the Silicon Valley concept to their latest project called ‘Jababeka Silicon Valley’. This project is an area development that is intended as a center for innovation and modern technology-based business. This project was carried out as Jababeka’s effort to accelerate and facilitate the growth of startups in Indonesia.


“We want to build an environment and ecosystem to accommodate communities consisting of governments, experts, entrepreneurs, startups and other stakeholders to collaborate and create innovative areas. The goal is to produce and develop useful high-tech innovations,” said Tjahjadi Rahardja, President Director of Jababeka Infrastruktur at the Road to Jababeka Silicon Valley Press Conference held in Jakarta


As a company engaged in the industrial estate sector, this project is also a form of Jababeka’s support for the program launched by the government towards Indonesia 4.0. This project is carried out as Jababeka’s effort to accelerate and facilitate the growth of startups in Indonesia that have an impact on the development of industry 4.0 and society 5.0 in the country.

With the facilities and advantages that will be presented by Jababeka in Jababeka Silicon Valley, such as cutting edge technology or fiber optic , startup players will be able to produce quality products and services.

Reportedly, Jababeka will build the Jababeka Silicon Valley project on an area of 60 hectares in the Cikarang area. The project will be officially launched on July 29, 2022. “Unlike other ‘Silicon Valley Indonesia’, Jababeka Silicon Valley is located in an industrial area.

So that it can provide access for companies or startups that live there to many other industries or companies. This can be a place to produce an integrated collaboration between potential companies with more experience and new startups to develop their business,” said Tjahjadi Rahardja.
